Northern Apex Corporation, an Indiana based RFID (Radio Frequency Identification)
integrator, has developed a significant advancement in automated jewelry inventory management and control.
Since 2006, we have been working with key members of the jewelry industry and have created a combined hardware
and software product solutions to address some of the major difficulties experienced by jewlery manufacturers and stores.
Some of the difficulties include: tracking gems and metals through the production process, conducting a more regular and accurate inventory in the store room/warehouse or store - in significantly
less time, keeping track of the customer's buying interests automatically, tracking asset movement between
manufacturers, distrtributors and stores, and tracking employee transactions.
Over the past several years RFID technology has evolved greatly. A product of this
evolution is that the costs associated with the technology deployment have gone down while the technology
performance has continued to improve. This combination has made RFID a cost-effective, easy-to-use solution
for jewelry applications. Northern Apex Corporation has leveraged their technical knowledge of
